Certification is becoming more and more
important in the world of vibration analysis. Certification tells
your employer or client what you are qualified to do, and provides
evidence that you have attainted the required level of proficiency.
Certification also rewards you with a level of recognition that you
deserve – we all know that vibration analysis is very
challenging, and it takes a high level of skill and intelligence to
become a master. Our certification exams follow both the ISO and
ASNT standard.
We have created three courses, designed to meet the growing needs
of people involved with vibration analysis of rotating
machinery.
People who are new to vibration monitoring and analysis,
and people who have indirect involvement, such as maintenance
engineers, and reliability engineers, will find the Entry Level
course ideal.
The Vibration Analysts Intermediate course is designed for the
person who must analyze vibration spectra and diagnose common
machine faults conditions.
The Vibration Specialist “Advanced course” is designed
for the person who must be able to utilize all data types and
perform diagnostic tests in order to diagnose a wide range of fault
conditions.
In addition to offering public courses, OMCS AP can provide
training at your facility. We will still provide the training
required to meet the ISO and ASNT standards, but\ the case studies
and discussions can be tailored to your specific industry.
You will learn a great deal on our course, but no
one can remember everything. But when questions arise you can turn
to iLearnVibration. This award winning, interactive training CD
will include the lessons that you took on the course. The lessons
are fully narrated, and include quizzes. At any time you can
re-take a lesson, or simply type-in a question and jump to the
appropriate topic within the course. For those who prefer to read
about vibration analysis, you will appreciate the detailed course
book.
As part of the course you will also receive a 90 day
trial of the innovative iLearnVibration [Interpreter] program.
Interpreter will help you to analyze your vibration spectra. While
you are viewing the spectrum inside your vibration analysis
software program, you simply drag the “helping hand”
icon on to the spectrum, and Interpreter will go to work. First it
reads the spectrum off the screen, searches for the peaks, finds
all of the hidden patterns (harmonics and sidebands), and then
highlights those patterns for you to analyze. You can scroll
through the patterns, and Interpreter will provide suggestions for
what the pattern may indicate, such as misalignment, bearing fault,
and so on. It provides detailed explanations of the fault
conditions, and it can open iLearnVibration at the relevant topic
to tell you more.
