Get Started with a Pilot Workshop

The Pilot Workshop is the most effective way to properly evaluate the PMO2000™ process and indeed any Reliability Assurance process. OMCS AP encourage all our prospective clients to conduct the Pilot as a first step and most especially when our process is being compared to other Reliability Assurance processes.

The pilot program will cover a range of your most critical fixed assets and provide you with implementation assistance to ensure that the effort is rewarded. From this position, you will be able to determine roll out strategies for the remainder of assets on site. Moreover, the pilot program will provide an excellent opportunity for you to evaluate our Reliability Assurance process against the current RCM processes being implemented.

Every client that has conducted a PMO2000™ Pilot has progressed to full process roll out.

The Pilot allows you to, based on experience:

evaluate whether PMO2000™ is suitable for your operation, evaluate the different full process roll out options,

accurately estimate the cost of such options,

accurately estimate the return on investment (ROI) and pay back period, and

accurately estimate the costs associated with not pursuing pmoptimisation.

Software
The PMO2000™ software is used during the Pilot Workshop. The software is designed specifically to facilitate reliability review and analysis processes. The software introduces administrative efficiency and as such allows review of many more tasks than if using generic spreadsheet tools for example. The software also facilitates very swift implementation within or linking to your CMMS. Three months rental of the software is included in the price of the Pilot Workshop.

Estimating the Pilot Return on Investment (ROI)
Notwithstanding the fact that the Pilot’s primary purpose is to demonstrate the process, such is the effectiveness and speed of our Reliability Assurance program that the Pilot will, by itself, return a considerable ROI. To enhance justification of the Pilot beyond only the demonstration purpose, we suggest you estimate the returns you will receive from just three of the process benefits. These are as follows:

for production capacity improvement, previous clients have experienced a 50% reduction to their maintenance related down time,

for penalties associated with unexpected production downtime assume that these losses will reduce by 30%, and

for your maintenance staff effectiveness, assume your maintenance staff will become around 20% more effective immediately as, in the past; typically 20% of PM tasks are removed during a PMO2000™ review.

It may be prudent to consider these factors when selecting the Pilot site.

The Pilot Workshop is the best way to professionally evaluate the process before committing further resources to any Reliability Improvement process.
